HEY BASTARDS.
Of all the films David Fincher made, SE7EN is hands down the best. It is near flawless. Don’t get me wrong, I dig his other stuff too (how can you not dig the chaos of FIGHT CLUB), but nothing for me has worked as well as SE7EN. Part of the reason was the hard-boiled script by Andrew Kevin Walker who may be about to board another Fincher flick.
Deadline reports that Walker is set to work on the script for Fincher’s remake of 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA. Fan-fucking-tastic! That just tickled my geek balls then slapped my face and told me I ain’t shit.
Fincher has said in a few interviews that this will be in 3D, and will probably be 70% CG which I don’t dig that much, but I trust Fincher’s instincts (assuming I don’t remember the abortion called THE GAME). Disney is producing LEAGUES, which probably means we wont see a dark and twisted under sea odyssey but still, could be good.
SEE YOU ON FORTY DEUCE,
G
