HEY BASTARDS.
Q is coming back to the Bond franchise for the first time since DIE ANOTHER DAY. Ben Whishaw has been cast as the gadget guru of MI6 in the latest Bond film SKYFALL. Whishaw worked with Daniel Craig before, the two appeared together in LAYER CAKE (still my favorite Craig film).
I remember an interview a while back where Craig was talking about how cool it would be to have a Q origins story. It would be a darker character than the one Desmond Llewelyn played for 36 years, and the one John Cleese tried really hard to fuck up. I am not sure if they are doing any of that in SKYFALL, but I would dig the hell out of that. Anxious to see what Whishaw can do with this.
