Death has a way of changing your plans. Bruce Lee wrote and intended to star in this martial arts/fantasy hybrid but he took the dirt nap before production. The story tries to push the idea of Oriental thinking versus Western thinking but the subtleties of that idea are over powered by the great debate of ass kicking versus more intense ass kicking.
This is actually a pretty unique flick that does have very deep philosophical roots. I think the plot was probably a bit much for first time director Richard Moore, but the film still works.
