Watching this flick after CONAN THE BARBARIAN (1982) is the equivalent of drinking a Miller Lite after downing a large tumbler of bourbon neat. Easy and refreshing, but light…very light. Cutting out the hard-edged violence and ample doses of nudity of the Milius classic, Director Richard Fleischer delivers a sword and sorcery tale perfectly suited for the mindless action fare dominating the film market of the 80s. Moronic fun, worth catching for a wild cast that includes Wilt Chamberlain and Grace Jones. Guessing Wilt “destroyed” Grace off camera….or was it the other way around?
