“It was truly an artist’s craft, almost like
a sculpture…”
I had the privilege of interviewing Bill Blair a couple months ago for our ROTOR podcast. He was kind enough to drop some fascinating behind-the-scenes stories about the making of that notorious flick, but during the course of our conversation, we also discussed the issue of practical special effects – specifically, the art form’s slow, unceremonious demise.
Bill has a long history in make-up, having spent hours under latex for such fan faves as STAR TREK and BABYLON 5. Recently, Mr. Blair was honored with a Guinness World Record for ‘Most Special Effect Make-up Characters Portrayed in a Career.’
Dig some unique insight on the state of contemporary cinema from a genre veteran…
KEEP UP WITH BILL!
