Comedian Kevin Maher, among his many other valorous actions and talents, is the host of the Kevin Geeks Out series of events, in which he and a gang of panelists tackle a different topic each time around. Recent shows have focused around some of the most pressing issues of our day, including monkeys, sharks, wrestling, and evil.

Not for nothing, but Kevin has two big shows coming up this week for New York Super-Week***, the first tomorrow night with a slate of guests including Frank Conniff from Mystery Science Theater 3000, and the second on Saturday night, celebrating Comic-Con whilst smack in the middle of the damn thing.

On top of all that, Kevin has been dropping hysterical cartoons all week on his Facebook and Twitter. The series is called “Dream Dates Gone Wrong” featuring the worst imaginable suitors showing up with truly atrocious pick-up lines. If I had to make comparisons it’d be to the tone of Dan Clowes and the style of Johnny Ryan. But no comparisons are needed — if you love horror movies as much as I do, you will get a kick out of these cartoons.
