Bronson is back for his third go-around as Paul Kersey: vigilante extraordinaire. Here he plays avenging angel to a group of elderly good joes in a rundown New York City neighborhood who are under attack by a vicious street gang led by Gavan O’Herlihy.
DEATH WISH 3 is a hilarious hodgepodge of poor acting, direction and dialogue. Director Michael Winner ignores any sense of realism, opting instead for over-the-top action antics and a comic book vibe. The lengthy street battle finale has Bronson mowing down more scum than in almost all of the other Death Wish films combined. Cheesy 80s action doesn’t get much better folks.
