The first horror host that I can remember setting my sights on is the now-legendary Elvira. She is everything that is magnificent, beautiful, and fun, wrapped up in one amazing big-busted package, a gift to the world of horror nerds everywhere.
Besides hosting Elvira’s Movie Macabre, starring in her own campy horror romps ELVIRA: MISTRESS OF THE DARK and Elvira’s Haunted Hills, she has made guest appearances in everything from The RuPaul Show, Space Ghost Coast To Coast, and LEGO SCOOBY-DOO!: HAUNTED HOLLYWOOD. She is a true icon of the horror community.
What would the holiday season be without a little Elvira in it? It just wouldn’t as much fun. Good thing the fine people over at the horror-centric clothing company Cavity Colors feel the same way. They have recently rolled out their Elvira Holiday Horror collection, and it’s to die for!
Featuring beautiful artwork of Elvira dressed as Santa Claus, sneaking down a chimney, with a bag full of skulls by Devon Whitehead, the Cavity Colors Elvira collection is striking and lovely. Devon is best known for his masterful Scream Factory film art. Devon’s style is sleak, clean, and colorful. It’s easily recognizable and really makes a statement.
This design comes in the standard black T-shirt, a women’s slouchy tank top, and a baseball-jersey-style shirt with contrasting red sleeves. It’s officially licensed, 100% cotton, and has a printed tag.
If that isn’t enough, Cavity Colors also has a limited-edition enamel pin as part of the collection. The pin is designed by Nacho Scratcho, and only 100 were produced. It is a soft enamel pin with a black metal finish, and red glitter accents. It also has a double rubber clutch on the back for secure attachment, Cavity Colors stamp on the back, and it comes attached to a custom Elvira backing card.
Merry Axe-mas, fiends! Yule die when you see this collection. Cavity Colors pulled out all the stops for this one. Celebrate the holidays in style with the true queen of horror… Elvira!
