Bert I. Gordon takes yet another stab at a giant monster movie with H.G. Well’s THE FOOD OF THE GODS. This time he’s blowing up rats, wasps, worms and even chickens to mammoth proportions and sicking them on a group of unlucky saps stuck in a farmhouse. Poor special effects abound. The final sequence involving an exploding dam is laughingly bad. H.G. is still probably rolling in his grave.
