This is John Woo’s riff on the Lone Wolf and Cub storyline from writer Kazuo Koike and artist Goseki Kojima. This is not even close to being in the company of HARD BOILED, THE KILLER, or even A BETTER TOMORROW 1&2, but it does have some pretty spectacular gun fights and it certainly deserves a better release than the poor DVD transfer it was given.
