I am not sure if the following statement will be viewed as being creative or being a pompous asshole but here goes; Anybody else think that Alejandro Jodorowsky could have turned this into a surrealistic masterpiece? I dig the hell out of it as is, but Jodorowsky has such a unique perspective. Anyway, I digress…
If you had told me that Adrian Lyne, the guy who made FLASHDANCE and 9 1/2 WEEKS, was going to jump into the pool of psychedelic horror films I would have snickered then turned to my pal and said “this fool is crazy… let’s take his wallet.” This film is a labyrinth of twists and turns with an ending that will try and fuck with your mind for a good few hours after the credits roll. Get ready to go nuts.
SEE YOU ON FORTY DEUCE,
G
