HEY BASTARDS.
Park Chan-wook has a catalog of films that are consistently inventive and even when flawed I find myself admiring his skill and the performances he can get out of his crew. It’s these reasons and more that makes STOKER one of the most anticipated films of the year for this brotha. I am going in cold though; I find his films work best when you know fuck-all about the plot outside of a loose set-up. As such, I can’t tell you what’s in this clip. So enjoy. Or better yet, don’t. STOKER will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday, January 20, 2013, and open in theaters March 1, 2013.
The skinny on the flick:
After India’s (Wasikowska’s) father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie (Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother Evelyn (Kidman). Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.
SEE YOU ON FORTY DEUCE,
