“UP YOURS, BABY” SHAFT, 1971
Richard Roundtree is 71 today, and he can still kick your ass. Roundtree was always tough, and a far better actor than some of the other cats that populated the blaxploitation genre. After starring as John Shaft in 1971, he went on to star in one cool film after another: CHARLEY ONE-EYE, two sequels to SHAFT, ONE DOWN TWO TO GO, and the hits just kept on coming. So, celebrate the one bad mutha before he knocks the taste out of your mouth and steals your lady. One quick note; after SHAFT, my favorite film from Roundtree is CHARLEY ONE-EYE. It’s missing from this compilation only because I couldn’t find a good trailer for it. Just know that if you haven’t seen that good shit, do yoursef a favor and hunt it down by any means necessary.
Dig it!
FIGHT DIRTY,
G
