Rourke took a pay cut to be in the first one but it sounds like he didn’t want to do the sequel without a bump in coin so now he’s hitting street and looking for another gig.
I wasn’t a huge fan of THE EXPENDABLES. I thought it worked in parts but it could never really turn the engine over. It was more of an idea than a film. I thought Rourke was the best thing the flick had going for it but he was only in it for maybe 5 minutes. I would have dug seeing his character with a bigger role. Now who’s going to work a needlessly long pipe?
