We are constantly looking for new and different films when it comes to bringing you the best in genre entertainment. Short films are often where you find the most exciting new filmmakers taking chances, yet most audiences don’t seek them out. With that in mind, we will be showcasing a short film each week in an effort to give a signal boost to shorts we enjoy.

I saw I AM COMING TO PARIS TO KILL YOU at the 2016 Fantastic Fest. It was one of my favorite shorts that I saw that year and it was one of the first films I had in my mind when I decided to start sharing shorts here on a weekly basis. By a happy coincidence, Seth A. Smith, the director of the film, has a feature playing at this week’s Cinepocalypse film festival in Chicago called THE CRESCENT. So it seems like a good time to share this lovely bit of dreamy neo-noir about a hostage situation that goes in very unexpected directions (be sure to watch all the way through the end credits). Enjoy this as an appetizer and then come out to Cinepocalypse for the main course!
