Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach play three of the grittiest low-lifes to ever step foot in a Western. Their Mexican standoff at the end of a long, dirty quest for hidden treasure is one of action cinema’s finest moments. Never has a 161 minute film had so much rewatch value. In short: grindhouse euphoria my fellow bastards.
