Competent adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs adventure classic about the discovery of a prehistoric world by a U-boat crew during World War I is a fun watch even if the special effects are a bit subpar. This was the first of a series of Burroughs adaptations produced by American International Pictures starring Doug McClure. Followed by AT THE EARTH’S CORE (1976).
