Charles Bronson’s second collaboration with Director Michael Winner holds up as a solid 70s action-thriller. Bronson is Arthur Bishop, an expensive hitman for hire, known in the underworld as a mechanic. When he takes a young hotshot (Jan- Michael Vincent in an early film role) under his wing and educates him on the finer arts of murder, the aging killer gets into hot water with his “bosses”. Gritty action scenes ensue, wrapping up with an exciting chase/gun battle in Italy and a classic twist ending. Reissued as KILLER OF KILLERS. Excellent remake came out in 2011.
