A masterpiece of horror and vision. Stanley Kubrick would not direct another film for seven years after he wrapped production on this tale of madness. Some consider this to be the least effective film that Kubrick directed. I strongly disagree. This is required viewing during the Halloween season and before your next jaunt up to the mountains.
