Lucky McKee has been banging out good shit since 2002. From MAY to RED, McKee consistently makes interesting work; this time, he made a classic. With Cronenbergian skill he is able to create suspense, he understands better than most the slow draw of a scene. He also knows when to roll up the sleeves and bust you in the chops, see the last 30 minutes of THE WOMAN for proof of that. The flick goes completely ape-shit with violence on a level we rarely see. This is a powerful and complex film. Dig it, Bastards.
SEE YOU ON FORTY DEUCE,
