HEY BASTARDS.
Fuck, Tim Burton could do some damage with this. MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN is about a family tragedy that sends sixteen-year-old Jacob to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling home of Miss Peregrine’s Home… and then the creepy begins. I think working on DARK SHADOWS is the perfect set-up for moving on to this kind of project. Burton doesn’t always hit his mark, but when he does it’s close to flawless.
Deadline reports that Jane Goldman of KICK-ASS and X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is close to confirmed to adapt the Ransom Riggs novel for screen. Hopefully Burton can get started on this in late 2012 or early ’13.
SEE YOU ON FORTY DEUCE,
G
