There was a time when this film was most famous for a down and dirty love scene with Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie, thankfully people tamed there inner porn star and now rightly see this as the horror masterpiece that it is. This film is both completely chilling and moving. Nicholas Roeg has a few classics to his credit, but the finale of this film set in Venice is unmatched… as is the little person in the red coat which should give you nightmares for at least a good year. Flawless.
