HEY BASTARDS.
V/H/S had a lot of buzz the moment it was announced thanks to the talent involved and it sounds like the film did well enough to grab a sequel. However, I think the talent that is lining up with this one could make it even better than the first. THR is reporting that Gareth Evans (THE RAID), Eduardo Sanchez (THE BLAIR WITHC PROJECT) are “co-writing and co-directing segments of a second installment of V/H/S, the hit horror anthology that had people fainting at the Sundance Film Festival.” The piece also mentions that Jason Eisener (HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN) is also on board.
I thought the first one was a cool film that introduced a concept that could have a long life with a host of other filmmakers. The film is far from perfect (Ti West’s piece was fairly terrible) and I am sure the second will have an equal number of highs and lows but damn, they’re off to a good start.
