GRINDHOUSE GROOVES!

HEY BASTARDS.

It’s time for another edition of Grindhouse Grooves, featuring a new batch of musical treats that should keep any self-respecting cult film in a groovy way.

Normally, parody videos are, at best, briefly entertaining, but anyone that manages to do a version of Psy’s “Gangnam Style” as an homage to BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA, even getting Lo Pan himself, James Hong, to appear, is good with us.

Chris Marss Piliero directed the Black Keys/RZA music video for the soundtrack to RZA’s upcoming THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS, as a fight breaks out at a Chinese restaurant and one one man be.. The Baddest Man Alive

’70s action movies are the basis for the look of rap group Action Bronson’s new video, directed by Rik Cordero. It’s… well, it’s got a good look to it, anyway.

Experimental rappers Death Grips teamed with animator Galen Pehrson for this tripped-out piece of psychedelia, a bizarre mixture that recalls the likes of Ralph Bakshi, Rene Laloux and Picha.

And this week’s vintage clip comes from rock/burlesque/mime/dance/pop music group Shock (who appeared in XTRO) in a typically insane spectacle on the video for their cover of “Angel Face.”

Last, buy by no means least, is outsider rapper Krispy Kreme’s take on Michael Myers. I won’t spoil the ending.

Be back when the jukebox has been restocked,
