WHAT’S DOIN’, BASTARDS?

If AMERICAN GRAFFITI and PORKY’S knocked boots, the offspring would be THE POM POM GIRLS, a cool grindhouse classic starring Robert Carradine (REVENGE OF THE NERDS) and Jennifer Ashley (THE CENTERFOLD GIRLS). This flick has made its way onto just about every exploitation collection you could find, it’s cheap and easy just like the hot dames in the flick. But Scorpion Releasing is doing all the fans of the movie, including Quentin Tarantino, a giant favor by bringing you the original cut in HD.

According to their Facebook page (which you should have “Liked” long ago), the label released an update saying that they had “just completed a brand new HD master from the original camera negatives of POM POM GIRLS, and it’s the R rated cut, as I believe most of the multi packs were the PG rated cut. Let’s just say the Pom Pom Girls have never looked better!!! This will be one of our upcoming BluRay releases.” This film really is some of the best of the bunch when it comes to Crown International’s teensploitation films and it has always deserved better than the previous releases, glad to see Scorpion picking this one up.
