SHORT FILM SHOWCASE – WWII ESPIONAGE, KILLER BACON AND SAMPLING SPECTACTULARS!

In this potpourri round-up of noteworthy shorts, we’ve got an impressive epic, a pair of twisted music treats and an homage to John Carpenter using meat!

PROJECT ARBITER
DIR. MICHAEL CHANCE

An impressive concept film set in 1943, Chance’s short is a great-looking piece of sci-fi espionage that I’d love to see become a feature.

CHIMPNOLOGY
DIR. CYRIAK

Animator Cyriak’s latest is a deranged trip using footage from 1963 short film, resulting in a wild ride that would have taken an infinite number of monkeys and infinite amount of time to produce.

I WANT…
DIR. POGO

And Pogo makes similar use out of WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY to great effect.

THE BACON
DIR. ROBBIE GREGSON

Comedy group Local Empire has a cautionary tale about the mysterious appearance of the meat we all know and love in a take on John Carpenter’s THE THING.
