From HELTER SKELTER to BREAKHEART PASS, Tom Gries directed some badass shit, and 100 RIFLES is no different. Burt is tuned down a little but he still manages some scene stealing moments. Jim Brown and Raquel Welch make a surprisingly tough combo. The fights and action are a little clumsy, but it gives the whole film a feel of authenticity in a way.
