Fred Williamson grabs his best Cosby sweater and kicks some ass in BLACK COBRA! This is one of those films that the VHS box cover would call “in the tradition of COBRA!” or “if you like COBRA see BLACK COBRA”. This isn’t good, the villains are idiots and Williamson looks a step slow, or maybe he was just cutting the check and calling it a day. Either way this is good ol’fashion 80’s action cheese. Serve it up sucka!
There’s muscle in his venom and fire in his heart!

Looks like the youtube link is having some trouble.
I watched (and reviewed) the three Black Cobra movies a few years back. There’s actually a fourth film as well, but it is apparently made up of older Williamson footage from the other films. I’ve yet to check it out.
The funny thing about the films is how they each seem to be a different genre. There are fun moments – but as you said, definitely not good.
