Vincent Price chews up the scenery as the evil Lord Whitman in this violent tale of witchcraft and black magic. Typical for films of its type, CRY OF THE BANSHEE is full of sadism and unpleasantness as Price puts a number of young women “to The Question” as he battles a coven of witches and their leader Oona; well played by Elisabeth Bergner. Terry Gilliam of Monty Python fame created the opening credits.
