The Music Box Theatre in Chicago is doing a midnight showing of horror-comedy favorite THE CABIN IN THE WOODS. Tickets and info can be found here.
YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is showing at the Metrograph in New York at 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 10:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
Unfairly maligned dark comedy KIDS IN THE HALL: BRAIN CANDY is showing at the Alamo Drafthouse in San Antonio at 7:30 pm. Kids in the Hall troupe member Kevin McDonald will be at the screening for a Q&A. Tickets and info can be found here.
The American Cinematheque in Los Angeles is showing a double feature of Michael Powell’s deeply unnerving PEEPING TOM and French dark comedy/thriller DIVA at 7:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
Howard Hawks’ adaptation of Raymond Chandler’s THE BIG SLEEP is just about as good as it gets. You can see it screen from a 35mm print at the Trylon Cinema in Minneapolis at 7:00 pm and 9:15 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
