TUESDAY, MAY 23, 2017 (All show times are local)

GINGER SNAPSthe fascinating coming of age tale that successfully mixed werewolf tropes with puberty and high school angst, is showing at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, TX at 9:45 pm. This is a rare 35mm screening. Tickets and info can be found here.

The Kentucky Theatre in Lexington, KY is screening Sam Peckinpah’s PAT GARRETT & BILLY THE KID at 7:00 pm with star Kris Kristofferson in person. Tickets and info can be found here.

Time has been very kind to MYSTERY MEN. Having gone from a commercial bomb to an ahead-of-its-time deconstruction of the superhero genre, there’s never been a better period in cinema history to appreciate its jabs at comic book movies. It is playing at the Alamo Drafthouse in Houston, TX at 7:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

Quad Cinema in New York is screening a 35mm print of Richard Donner’s very good adaptation of SUPERMAN. Go remind yourself why Christopher Reeve was perfectly cast in the role at 6:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

Biker gangs, resurrection of the dead, and hallucinatory frogs are just a few of the memorable ingredients in PSYCHOMANIA, a film that can only be described as pure grindhouse. You can catch a very rare 35mm screening of this 1973 oddity at the Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR at 7:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

THE TERMINATOR on the big screen. Do you need to know any more than that? I didn’t think so. Catch it at the Alamo Drafthouse in Winchester, VA at 7:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

BAMcinématek in Brooklyn is screening a 35mm print of Wes Craven’s adaptation of SWAMP THING at 7:00 pm. Don’t miss this one! Tickets and info can be found here.

A double feature of the late Jonathan Demme’s classic films SOMETHING WILD at 7:00 pm and STOP MAKING SENSE at 9:10 pm is playing at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco, CA. These are both 35mm screenings. Tickets and info can be found here.
