HEY BASTARDS.

Mondo has been setting the poster world on fire for a while now. Today, they torch Comic-Con. Yesterday, we got our eyes on the exclusive DARK KNIGHT RISES poster that Jock did for Mondo and goddamn this thing is tough as hell. It measures 24? x 36?, is limited to 375 prints, and costs only $50. Here’s the rub though; as always it will go on-sale at a random time at some point today. Follow @MondoNews on Twitter for the green-light. THE DARK KNIGHT RISES hits theaters next Friday.

This poster reminded me of the original one-sheet for BATMAN RETURNS.

Both are focusing on the roots of each films style of Batman, both are understated, and both are using the negative space with very noir-ish results. I was pretty amped to see DARK KNIGHT RISES, this poster just kicked that into over-drive.
