We’ve all been there before. We get to the drive-in, unload the friends from the trunk, grab some corn and coke, and settle in for the film only to realize the drive-in is a concentration camp for societies least wanted. DEAD END DRIVE-IN is a post-apocalyptic tale from the legendary Brian Trenchard-Smith. Trenchard-Smith is a smart filmmaker who truly appreciates his plots and characters. He doesn’t operate under any false pretenses, he knows exactly what his films are and fully embraces each genre he works in and DEAD END DRIVE-IN is one of his most visually interesting pictures. Australians and the apocalypse, they go together like Chiba and ass-kicking.
See you on forty deuce,
