Classic fantasy about Jason and his quest for the golden fleece remains one of the greatest of all adventure films; highlighted by effects wizard Ray Harryhausen’s eye popping stop motion animation. This was arguably his finest hour. Too many highlights to mention here, though it’s hard to top the climatic skeleton battle for sheer spectacle. A winner all the way.
