One thing I have learned from decades of film watching is to always team with a feisty female reporter after I have witnessed a murder. Not only can she break the story, but I can also save my life by throwing her in front of me and the inevitable attacker while I run away from any chance of being a hero. It’s a win/win… but I digress. I am probably a bigger fan of DEEP RED than SUSPIRIA, but it’s close, damn close. Both show Dario Argento at his best: using Hitchcokian cues and violent bloodshed set to a Goblin score. Dig it.
