Invading female aliens called Kilaaks brainwash all of Earth’s monsters (at least the giant ones from Japan) and send them on various rampages across the globe. It’s up to Captain Yamabe and the brave crew of spaceship Moonlight SY-3 to break the spell on the city stomping beasties and save the planet from a major monster bashing.
Toho’s ninth Godzilla flick is one of their best, with eleven of the studio’s Kaiju stars featured in what was at the time supposed to be the final film in the series. The climatic ten on one battle between Earth monsters Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan and company and space monster King Ghidorah is a franchise highlight.
