DILLINGER (1973)

Directed by John Milius and starring the underrated Warren Oates and Ben Johnson (and a classic Harry Dean Stanton performance), this flick pops off quicker than a pulp paperback. Milius created a scorching script full of bullets, chases, and badasses. The only fault is an almost too sympathetic portrayal of Dillinger but that’s a minor quibble. This is a hard boiled classic. Dig it!
