This film lost its balls the second they pulled the ALL YOU NEED IS KILL title and went with EDGE OF TOMORROW which sounds like a STAR TREK film. If I am being an asshole, I would say “congratulations, Tom. You just made another science fiction film that nobody will see.” This honestly doesn’t work for me, it could, and I’ll see this because I am sucker for sci-fi and I do think (prepare to gasp) that Tom Cruise is a consistently watchable presence on screen and he hits more than misses, but man this just looks so goddamn dull.
Good to see there using practical effects though. (that’s me being an asshol again)
Now, back to obsessing over the GODZILLA trailer…
