Godzilla fans are usually divided on this film, the eleventh in the series. Some praise its odd mix of monster action, trippy animated scenes, psychedelic imagery and music and its “save the Earth” message about pollution. Others find it childish and just too weird for its own good. Either way, the film is the most unique in the series and Hedorah, Godzilla’s garbage pile adversary, is fun. Make sure to catch the scene where Hedorah tokes it up on some smoke stacks. Also known as GODZILLA VS. HEDORAH.
