San Francisco catches hell for all of the calamari they’ve sold throughout the years when a giant octopus rises from the depths and puts the hurt on the City on the Bay.

Classic monster movie features another grand performance by one of Ray Harryhausen’s amazing stop motion beasties. Due to budgetary restrictions, Ray’s octopus is really a “sixtapus” as it only has six arms. This was Harryhausen’s first team-up with longtime producing partner Charles H. Schneer.
