After crashing their ship in the Arizona desert, bug-eyed, alien blobs begin to assume the identities of the good folk of a nearby small town so that they can conduct repairs on their craft incognito. Naturally this doesn’t bode well with the locals once they begin to figure out what’s going on.
Classic 3-D monster flick is noteworthy for being one of the first science fiction films to feature shape-shifting aliens and to utilize a desert landscape. Old school stuff now, but I can only imagine how terrifying this flick was to audiences when first released. This was director Jack Arnold’s first genre film.
