LANDIS RETURNS TO HORROR

fans get excited…then instantly nervous.

John Landis has made some classic flicks. Some of my all-time favorites. AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON, ANIMAL HOUSE, BLUES BROTHERS, THREE AMIGOS, SPIES LIKE US, TRADING PLACES. I could watch those movies on a loop and never complain. That being said, he also made BEVERLY HILLS COP III, OSCAR, THE STUPIDS, and other crap that makes Jesus cry.

Landis hasn’t played in the horror genre since he directed a few episodes of MASTER OF HORROR back in 2005 and 2006. Prior to those you have to go all the way back to INNOCENT BLOOD in 1992, which brings us to the scoop the Bloody Disgusting crew got from the man himself.  In an exclusive interview, Landis reported to B-D that he is making  “a little monster movie,” which simultaneously makes me excited and nervous as fuck. Landis continues “It’s interesting. … My cast has to be bilingual because it’s being shot in French and English,” Landis said. “We know who’s gonna star in it, but this is all off the radar right now [so I can’t tell you who they are].”

Please be awesome. Please? Even just a little better than INNOCENT BLOOD is good in my book.
