James Mason and company descend into the bowels of our globe and encounter danger every step of the way in this rousing old-fashioned fantasy adventure based on the Jules Verne classic. From Bernard Hermann’s atmospheric score (one of my all-time favorites) to the spectacular set design and location work in the Carlsbad Caverns, this is one film that truly breaths the saying “they don’t make em’ like this anymore”. Also one of the few genre flicks that successfully transforms live lizards into believable dinosaurs. And yes, Pat Boone is quite good in this, only killing us with one song. THE perfect rainy day afternoon movie.

@groo_fan The white lettering on the black background is so much easier to read than the colored lettering.
