Clint Eastwood’s second go-around as “fuck the rules” detective Harry Callahan isn’t nearly as good as the original DIRTY HARRY, but it’s plot about a death squad within the San Francisco police department still has its moments.  Journeyman director Ted Post stages the action with a firm hand, even throwing in a pretty good car chase for good measure.  Harry’s run in with some terrorists on a hijacked airliner is a highlight. And remember, there is nothing wrong with shooting as long as the right people get shot!
