Few animes have the sense of speed of NINJA SCROLL. As the characters move among the trees and on the on the ground, a sense of speed and timing ring throughout every moment. This is pure, visceral filmmaking that resulted in one of the most popular animated titles since AKIRA. Outside of VAMPIRE HUNTER D: BLOODLUST, director Yoshiaki Kawajiri has yet to direct a more perfect film.
