Another chainsaw “homage.” This is a pretty fun flick: some titties, plenty of dismemberment, a musical number here and there. PIECES delivers what you expect. Something must have happened between this flick and director Juan Piquer Simon’s next – because his follow-up to PIECES was POD PEOPLE. I’m guessing divorce, drugs, serious head trauma – perhaps all of the above.
