Because everyone is shoving food in their face, watching football, or crying in the corner just after the hooker left, there isn’t a lot of titles dropping this week. Having said that, Criterion is taking advantage of the vacancy with the massive ZATOICHI box set. The blind samurai who spawned 26 films and left a pile of sliced and diced bodies in his wake is getting the first class treatment in what may well be the best release of the year. Shout Factory is also releasing the Brion James/Lance Henriksen flick HORROR SHOW and George Romero’s KNIGHTRIDERS. A few other strays made there way to the list, but if Ethan Hawke in GETAWAY is making your buy list, you have problems.
