Sweetback here.
Here’s one I’m really excited about. Over the last year or two, fans of the cinematic experience have been rallying around 35mm and the repertory houses that are desperately struggling to survive. Director Morgan White traveled around the U.S. and Canada to talk to the representatives from some of the world’s most beloved and established Rep houses – The New Beverly, The Alamo Drafthouse – all the while telling the story of the Toronto Underground Cinema and its own start-up struggles in Toronto, Ontario.

Cool. Look forward to hearing more about this. It pains me that so many younger viewers never go to Rep houses – even when they live in the few cities that still have them. DVDS, Internet downloads and cable/Satellite TV are all great, but, nothing beats seeing films in a movie theater.
