Sequel to THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON (1954) finds the Gillman on display in Florida’s Ocean Harbor after he is captured and taken from his black lagoon in the Amazon. Naturally he isn’t too fond of his new surroundings and soon breaks loose to go on a typical 1950s monster rampage. Jack Arnold directs with a firm hand and Clint Eastwood makes his screen debut as a lab technician in this solid monster movie from Universal. Like the first film, this was filmed in 3-D. Followed by THE CREATURE WALKS AMONG US (1956).
