RIDLEY SCOTT AND YOUTUBE TEAM UP TO FIND NEW FILMMAKERS

HEY BASTARDS.

A lot of our Featured Filmmakers have talked about how important short films are to making a quality jump to feature length films. Well, get ready to roll, Bastards. Ridley Scott is teaming up with YouTube and the Venice Film Festival to host a worldwide film festival. YouTube wants aspiring filmmakers to post 15-minute shorts online from Feb. 2 (go to YouTube on that date for instructions) to March 31. From there, Scott and members of his production company will select 50 semifinalists and send those back to YouTube users to select the top 10 which will screen in venice where a jury will choose the winner of a $500,000 prize. Dig it!

SEE YOU ON FORTY DEUCE,
